Charles Thompson, Secretary of the Continental Congress, reporting to Congress on the Seal, stated: “The colors of the pales (the vertical stripes) are those used in the flag of the United States of America; White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valour, and Blue, the color of the Chief (the broad band above the stripes) signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice.”
I am going to bet that every American feels a bit more patriotic when July comes around each year. I know for sure I do, so maybe I am hopefully I am not alone in that. I do miss photographing Marine couples on the daily back in California. But I am thankful for where I am now and have been looking forward to getting Army families in front of my camera now. Just something about men and women willing to risk their lives for strangers freedoms.
For this month’s theme I may of had something big planned, like usual right? Time management and my health kind of but a damper in that but it is still in the works so I guess it all works out. I dug through last years sessions and am sharing JUST A TINY BIT from one of my most favorite maternity sessions – most favorite that we split it into two sessions! So do keep en eye out because I will be sharing lots more from this sessions along with their little bundle of joy who has grown like a weed since our last session together. Maternity sessions are a favorite because I’m watching that bundle turn from a bump to a person, but then after I get to watch those precious babies grow with their parents. It is truly an honor to be chosen to get to follow along on the blessing.
