Matthew 28:5-7    The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” I can’t talk about Easter without reading or sharing the above verse. We wouldn’t be celebrating and enjoying Easter if Jesus had not rose rom His grave, but He did and thank goodness for that! Matthew and I have now been out in California 2 years- they have flown by!- and honestly this time around we have really lacked on the whole celebrating holidays thing. Last Christmas though I was done not celebrating the holidays and so i set out to have an awesome Christmas to make up for all the other holidays passed. Here Easter came and I wanted to make sure it was just as joyous. Cooking meals for two people is kind of hard, and then you throw in cooking a holiday meal yeah we have leftovers for days. I made fried chicken to try to cut down on so much extra meat, and while planning this I had totally forgotten my fear of grease fires. So needless to say i was too cautious on having our deep fryer up to high and that in turn resulted in burnt chicken since it had to cook for so much longer. Ooh goodness lots of lessons learned 🙂

Enjoy the few pictures I took and I hope y’all had a blessed Easter!
